Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)   


EFT, which has become widely known as the gold standard of couples therapy, is based on the leading edge work of attachment science. This work helps explain how the people and events in our past continue to affect the way we see ourselves and others.


In a safe, structured manner, EFT provides practical steps to understanding why we respond the way we do and how to make the changes we long for.


This approach has been very successfully extended into individual and family counselling. With greater awareness of your reactions, you can make different choices for yourself and your relationships.


As a Certified EFT therapist, my expertise in this model has been officially recognized by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).


I also have expanded my initial certification with advanced EFT training in working with individuals (EFIT), relationship betrayal, past trauma, and the neuroscience of managing our intense physical and emotional reactions through EFT and polyvagal theory and mindfulness practices.
