Approach & Credentials​

As a certified emotionally focused therapist (EFT), Katherine's expertise has been recognized by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Additionally, she has trained under Dr. Kevin Skinner, of the globally-recognized Addo Recovery program, in the compassionate treatment of marriage infidelity. Katherine also has trained in the neuroscience of emotional reactions, applying that work to polyvagal practices and many other trauma-focused treatments.
Her mindfulness-focused therapy work includes certification from the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy at Harvard University. She also has certification by the Yoga Development Course at Yasodhara Ashram, following extensive residential teaching on the psycho-spiritual aspects of yoga practice and philosophy.
Katherine holds two graduate degrees in the humanities. Her academic work was recognized with the top award in the psychotherapy stream of the Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care program at Martin Luther University College. In 2025, Katherine trained for the clinical supervision of psychotherapy students.
